With nearly two decades of experience in grabbing headlines – from perfectly executed events to solid communications plans, Andrea Mokros has gotten results for local, statewide, and national clients.

Andrea has created events and executed strategies that have driven headlines - from Super Bowl LII to Michelle Obama’s travels around the world.

As Vice President of Communications and Events for the Minnesota Super Bowl Host Committee, Andrea helped showcase the Bold North (as they dubbed Minnesota) to the world. From serving as spokesperson to creating events for thousands; managing multi-million dollar budgets and headlining performers including The Roots; Andrea knows how to deliver when expectations from the public and sponsors are high.

Prior to returning to Minnesota, Andrea served in the White House as Special Assistant to the President and Director of Strategic Planning for the First Lady, Michelle Obama. In this role, Andrea helped create and execute the First Lady’s numerous events domestically and internationally, creating events with a purpose - strategically designed to advance the First Lady’s agenda and her four key initiatives: Let’s Move, Reach Higher, Joining Forces, and Let Girls Learn. Andrea represented the Administration with foreign governments and local communities, overseeing trips to more than two dozen countries and countless states, and hosting foreign leaders during trips to the United States.

Andrea began her career in scheduling and logistics, first as scheduler to Attorney General Hubert H. Humphrey, III in his campaign for Governor of Minnesota. She went on to serve as scheduler and later as Director of the Executive Office to former White House Chief of Staff Mack McLarty in his international consulting firm, Kissinger McLarty Associates, a partnership with Dr. Henry A. Kissinger, working every day to service Fortune 500 clientele. In each role, she managed logistics from private aircraft to client meetings to public events for thousands.

As a research staffer and later as Communications Director in the Minnesota State Senate, Andrea worked with Senators to communicate what goes on within the walls of the Capitol to constituents back home. Andrea served as Field and Media Director to the Senate Majority Caucus campaign, working with Senators across the state as they made their case to the voters.

Throughout the 2004 presidential campaign, Andrea traveled the country as lead advance for Teresa Heinz Kerry, executing dozens of events to perfection - from site and vendor selection to event production and every detail in between - for local, national, and international media, each time telling a story in pictures and ensuring positive news coverage for the campaign. Andrea later served as an advance lead to the presidential campaigns of Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama and continues to do advance for the White House.

Andrea served as Deputy Chief of Staff to U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar, where she spearheaded short and long-term strategic planning and managed the Senator’s communications operation, including executing countless press conferences and tours; writing speeches, releases, and editorials; and pitching and booking local and national interviews.

Andrea is a native of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and a graduate of the University of Minnesota. She currently resides in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
